To our family and friends,

 

We’d like to express our sincerest gratitude at the outpouring of support we’ve received since announcing our engagement! It’s been humbling to experience your enthusiasm and offers of assistance to help lighten our load as we prepare for our wedding day. We are very excited to share our wedding day with you! As it rapidly approaches, we’d like to give you an update on how our wedding plans are progressing.

 

Currently, we will still have Mass to celebrate the Sacrament of Marriage on August 1st. St Patrick Church has implemented physical distancing, and there is ample room inside the church to accommodate distancing of all of our guests. All guests will be expected to wear a mask and follow the church guidelines for Mass. These guidelines can be found here: https://www.stpatrickchurch.org/covid-19-update-

 

To accommodate all of the invited guests and allow for appropriate distancing, the reception has been moved from the Royal Palm Beach Commons to the Parish Hall at St Patrick Church. We are currently assessing seating arrangements, safe food service, physical distance between guests, and how to implement other best COVID-19 practices for the reception. Once we have received all of the guests’ RSVPs, we will be able to finalize and send out our plans for a COVID-19 responsible wedding.

 

We feel responsible to provide the safest practical environment for all of our guests at the reception. To this end, we are monitoring local, state, and national Coronavirus statistics and government directives. As we are experiencing a rapidly changing situation, we ask for your understanding and cooperation as we approach the wedding day. 

 

Even with measures in place to facilitate a safer celebration, we are unable to eliminate all risk associated with attending the Mass and reception. With that in mind, if you are not comfortable with the risk of attending or of traveling to South Florida, we understand your choice not to attend. We plan to stream the Mass online for guests who aren’t able to attend in person. We would like to celebrate with everyone, and if you decide now is not the best time to travel, please reach out to us. We would like to plan another celebration at a later date to include those who are unable to attend on August 1st.
